One of the players Arsenal want to bring to the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window is Douglas Luiz.
HITC revealed earlier this month that Arsenal are keen on signing Douglas Luiz from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer of 2024.
Manchester City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup, are also keen on re-signing the midfielder they sold to Villa in the summer of 2019 for £15 million (Sky Sports).
Arsenal target Douglas Luiz stars for Aston Villa
Luiz was in action for Villa against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and I am sure that Arsenal will have been impressed by his performance.
The Villans beat the Reds 4-2 to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

The 25-year-old Brazil international found the back of the net first in the 29th minute when he slotted home a Jacob Ramsey cut-back
Luiz scored his second goal of the match 10 minutes later when he headed in John McGinn’s right-wing cross.
Praise for Douglas Luiz
As you can see below, Jack Grealish and Philippe Coutinho were impressed by Luiz.
Grealish played with Luiz for Villa before his move to Manchester City in 2021.
As for Coutinho, the former Liverpool attacking midfielder is on loan at Al-Duhail SC from Villa at the moment.
Luiz is 25 now and has grown and developed a lot in recent years. He is one of the best and most important players in the Villa team and is rated very highly.
The Brazilian midfielder has scored nine goals and given four assists in 25 Premier League matches for Villa this season.
Arsenal already have a very good midfield department. Declan Rice has been a big success at the Emirates Stadium since his move from West Ham United in the summer of 2023, while Thomas Partey is an able player when he is fit and available.
