Rangers squad revealed as Oscar Cortes injury sparks attacking shake up amid 2 key returns

The Light Blues are hoping to make it 12 wins on the bounce in all competitions

Rangers continue their title charge this afternoon with Motherwell the visitors at Ibrox.

Boss Philippe Clement overcame one of the trickiest fixtures he could have had on paper on Wednesday night, with his side bouncing back from going a goal down to run out 2-1 winners against high-flying Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. That victory was the Gers 11th on the spin in all competitions, and has maintained their three point lead at the top of the Premiership with 10 games remaining.

The Belgian boss has suffered a setback however, with the news that loanee Oscar Cortes will be out for action for a couple of weeks with a muscle injury picked up in the win over Killie. The winger has hit the ground running since his January arrival with some impressive displays in his first seven appearances, scoring in the 5-0 hammering of Hearts next week. Speaking on the extent of the Colombian international's problem, Clement said: “It is a muscle injury, but I cannot say much more for the moment.

"I don't want to go into that to speak about a half empty glass. I am focused now on the players who are available for this game, because otherwise I would've lost a lot of energy in the last couple of months and that is useless. It is a pity for him and for the team, but it is an opportunity for another player to show what they can do."

His absence could be Scott Wright handed a rare starting berth, with Rangers still looking to get Kemar Roofe up to speed following his various injury problems in the last few seasons. The good news for the hosts is that Ryan Jack is also set to return to the matchday squad for this afternoon's clash against a Motherwell side that come into the game off the back of a morale-boosting 3-1 win over Livingston in midweek.

Elsewhere Ridvan Yilmaz and Borna Barisic will battle it out for the left back spot while January signing Mohamed Diomande is set to keep his fine vein of form going at the heart of the Gers midfield. Cyriel Dessers has been scoring goals for fun and is likely to be preferred to Portuguese youngster Fabio Silva, after being used as a half-time substitute in Ayrshire on Wednesday night.
