Liverpool have played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp’s side could have won the Premier League match.
Manchester City took the lead in the first half through John Stones. Alexis Mac Allister made it 1-1 for Liverpool from the penalty spot in the opening minutes of the second half.
Liverpool dominated proceedings in the second half of the Premier League game at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds took 19 shots of which six were on target. City took 10 shots and six of them were on target.
Liverpool had 53% of the possession, and there was also the late controversial incident involving Jeremy Doky and Mac Allister.
Steve McManaman comments on Liverpool winger Luis Diaz vs Manchester City
Steve McManaman was following the match for Premier League Productions, and although the former Liverpool star said that a draw was a fair result, he noted that Luis Diaz should have done better with the chances that he had.

Diaz was a problem for the Manchester City defence throughout his time on the pitch and asked questions of Kyle Walker.
However, the winger had a couple of very good chances, including one where he should have controlled the ball better when he was in a great position to score.
McManaman said on Premier League Productions: “Liverpool got the early goal and had a host of chances in the second half, particularly the two from Luis Diaz.
“Probably should have done better if you’re being hypercritical but in the end both managers will be fairly happy.”
Exciting Premier League title race
With Arsenal winning on Saturday and Liverpool and Manchester City drawing on Sunday, the Premier League title race is finely poised.
Arsenal are at the top of the table with 64 points from 28 matches, level on points with Liverpool, who are second. Defending champions City are third with 63 points.
I think that the Premier League title race this season could be decided on the final day of the campaign.
