Hearts will fight for a 50/50 ticket split for their Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Rangers.

The Jambos officials will make their case for an equal share for next month’s Hampden clash. The four semi-finalists – Hearts, Rangers, Celtic and Aberdeen – are set to meet with Scottish Football Association officials to discuss the plans for the matches on April 20 and 21 over the coming days.

Hearts will make it clear they want an even split for their Hampden clash after being left furious and frustrated by the Scottish Professional Football League’s decision not to give them an even share for last year’s Viaplay Cup semi-final clash with Rangers at the national stadium. Aberdeen take on Celtic in the other semi-final of the country’s premium knockout competition. Pittodrie chiefs plan to wait to see what plans the SFA propose but they will also be looking to maximise their ticket allocation for the Red Army, having also been left miffed in previous tournaments.

The Tynecastle club only got 20,000 tickets for the League Cup but they will be looking for a significant uplift going into this Scottish Cup semi-final. Aberdeen also received only around 20,000 tickets for the Viaplay Cup final with Rangers earlier this season. Both Hearts and Aberdeen will be hoping that there is a fairer share from the SFA's flagship event.
