Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs weighing up a move for Columbus Crew goalkeeper Patrick Schulte.
The United States international has emerged as an option for a number of Premier League sides who have been impressed by his performances over the past year where he helped Crew win the MLS Cup.
He was rewarded for his progress with his first cap against Slovenia in January.
The 23-year-old has been scouted extensively as Premier League sides such as United and Arsenal look to bolster their options in the summer.
Arsenal are expected to sell Aaron Ramsdale, who wants more regular first team football while United, who have Turkish international Altay Bayindir as deputy to Andre Onana, know that third keeper Tom Heaton turns 38 next month.

A move to the Premier League for Schulte would follow in the footsteps of Matt Turner

Schulte is quickly rising up the ranks in American soccer, including his first natonal team cap
Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are also facing possible changes over their back-up keepers.
Caoimhin Kelleher has been excellent for Liverpool this season but wants to be a regular number one once Alisson returns.
Chelsea have question marks over the futures of Robert Sanchez and Kepa Arizzabalaga.
City are also in talks over a new contract for Stefan Ortega but have yet to reach agreement.
