Fernando Torres dons Liverpool top during boxing workout – and fans love player on back
Fernando Torres was a much-loved figure at Liverpool before assuming the role of a traitor when leaving for Chelsea, however, the Spaniard still possesses a strong connection to the club
Fernando Torres sported a Liverpool kit with Trent Alexander-Arnold's name on the back during a boxing workout.
The former Reds star enjoyed four years in Merseyside where he scored 81 goals in 142 appearances as the Spaniard was well on his way to becoming an Anfield legend.
However, the sales of Javier Mascherano and Xabi Alonso and the lack of trophies during his time at Liverpool caused him to seek pastures new in the form of Chelsea who acquired the striker for a then-British record fee of £50million.

Torres, 39, was immediately public enemy number one for moving to a direct Premier League rival who he ended up winning a Champions League with despite an extremely underwhelming tenure in West London.
The relationship between the 2010 World Cup winner and the Liverpool had been broken for a number of years but was somewhat repaired when he returned to Anfield for an all-star charity event in 2015 where he treated to mass applause by the fans.

Torres clearly has Liverpool in his heart and he couldn't shown it better than during a boxing workout on Friday (March 15) where he was videoed hitting mits with a red strip on with the name and number of Trent Alexander-Arnold on the back of it.
Liverpool-themed accounts on social media immediately reacted to it with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing: "fernando torres training in a trent shirt is everything to me" while another said: "He's Liverpool through and through". A third added: "Gutted he joined Chelsea, but his spirit will always linger at Anfield. That's the mark of a true Red".

The wearing of the Liverpool shirt is a precursor to Torres' Anfield return later this month where'll he take part in a Liverpool legends charity match against Ajax on March 23.
It'll be the first time the Madrid native will sport the Liverpool top at their home stadium in 13 years as he'll no doubt receive a positive welcome by the fans.
