Premier League announce 15 new contenders who could be inducted into Hall of Fame
Football fans can now vote for two English top-flight legends to join the Premier League's Hall of Fame alongside Arsenal and Chelsea icon Ashley Cole, who won three titles
The Premier League has announced 15 new contenders to join its prestigious Hall of Fame in 2024.
Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole became the 22nd Premier League great to be granted the honour on Monday (March 25). The league’s Hall of Fame was launched in 2021 with the aim of recognising and celebrating individuals who have an exceptional record of success, as well as those who have made a significant contribution since it began back in 1992.
Now 15 more legends have been nominated by the Premier League and members of the Premier League Awards Panel for the chance to join Cole. Fans have the chance to vote for two players of their choice to complete the new entrants list for 2024.

Sky Sports is bringing you 500 live football games to watch, as well access to Cricket, Golf, F1, Boxing, NFL, NBA and more across eight dedicated channels. Sky Sports is the only way to watch all the action this year.
The Hall of Fame launched in 2021, with inaugural inductees: David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Alan Shearer.
In 2022, Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira and Ian Wright were inducted. Last year, Arsène Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson became the first managers to be inducted, alongside Tony Adams, Petr Cech and Rio Ferdinand.
Eligible for the 2024 list for the first time are former champions Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard, who both won titles at Chelsea, and Manchester City legend David Silva. They are only now eligible due to their recent retirements.
Shortlisting takes into account the Premier League career statistics and achievements of players who meet the Hall of Fame selection criteria and voting data from previous Hall of Fame shortlists.
Career achievements considered include individual and team honours, and a player’s total Premier League appearances, goals, assists and clean sheets. Each inductee will receive a personalised medallion, engraved with the year of their induction, and a £10,000 donation will be made by the Premier League to a charity of the player’s choice.
The full list is as follows:
Sol Campbell
Michael Carrick
Andrew Cole
Jermain Defoe
Cesc Fàbregas
Les Ferdinand
Robbie Fowler
Eden Hazard
Gary Neville
Michael Owen
David Silva
John Terry
Yaya Touré

Fans can vote for their two choices at Hall of Fame - The Greatest Premier League Players and via the official Premier League app. Voting is open until midday on Monday 8 April, with the two inductees to be announced on Monday 22 April.
