Rapist Dani Alves 'parties until 5am' at mansion after paying £850k bail to get out of jail
Dani Alves was released from prison after paying his £850,000 bail bond – and the disgraced former Barcelona and PSG star made the most of his freedom with a party
Dani Alves, the disgraced former Barcelona and PSG star, reportedly partied until the early hours on one of his first nights out of prison.
Alves, 40, had to pay £850,000 bail bond to secure his release from Brians 2 prison near Barcelona, where he spent 15 months awaiting trial for raping a woman in December 2022. He was found guilty in February and sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison, significantly less than the nine demanded by public prosecutors.
Now, due to Spanish law, he is allowed out while his appeal process proceeds. He has had to surrender both his Spanish and Brazilian passports, via the Mirror.

Following his release, according to Spanish TV show 'This is Life', Alves celebrated his dad's recent birthday at his £3.8m house in Esplugues de Llobregat until 5am. Earlier in the evening, he attended a dinner party in Barcelona in honour of his father, Domingos Alves Da Silva.
On Thursday (March 28), Alves was seen arriving at court in Barcelona with his lawyer, Ines Guardiola, to sign in, as per the terms of his bail. His release from jail could have happened sooner had it not been for issues accessing cash. His accounts in Brazil have been blocked due to issues with his ex-wife Dinorah Santana.
Last year, his lawyer claimed that Alves is "broke". There had been rumours that the father of fellow Brazilian player Neymar would help Alves pay the bail money. However, Neymar Santos Sr released a statement denying he would provide financial support.
Earlier this week, Memphis Depay's agent had to dismiss "fake" claims on social media that suggested the Atletico Madrid player had helped Alves with the cash needed for his temporary freedom. Sebastien Ledure told Informativos Telecinco: "This is fake news. It is false news, it is not true at all."
Alves isn't the only Brazilian footballer in trouble with the law. Robinho, formerly of Manchester City, was arrested at his flat in Santos last week. He was found guilty in 2017 for his part in the gang rape of an Albanian woman at a nightclub in Milan in January 2013 and is set to serve a nine-year prison sentence.
Felipe Melo, who played with both men internationally, insists they must face the consequences. He told Globo Sporte: "I have a 15-year-old daughter.
"If they had done that with my daughter, I don't think I would be here to give this interview. I believe we must respect other human beings, we must respect women, we must respect men.
"They have to pay for what they did. And let it serve as a lesson so that others do not do it. This is very serious."
