Kris Boyd reckons Rangers are finally asking different questions of Celtic in this title race.

The chase for the Scottish Premiership crown is as closet as it's been for a long time. Rangers are a point behind with a game in hand, but cam claim top spot overnight on Saturday if they beat Hibs at ibrox before Celtic head to Livingston on Sunday. Then it's all set up for the Hoops' journey across Glasgow to Ibrox for a titanic title tussle prior to the league splitting in two for the final five games of the season.

Boyd has been impressed with the way Rangers have got the job done in most games, keeping the pressure on their rivals, when in previous seasons they've either fallen away or not got close enough in the first place to make it interesting. He told Sky Sports: "It's obviously a pivotal moment in the season, no doubt about it," said Boyd ahead of next week's Old Firm showdown. "But Rangers have got themselves back into a good position.

"They obviously didn't start the season that well. But I think if you look at it, Philippe Clement has been able to galvanise the group and take them on. "They've got themselves in a position now where yeah, they'll have wanted to have played that game against Dundee a few weeks ago that was called off. But tomorrow against Hibs is a huge game.

"Celtic travel to Livingston on Sunday, which ain't going to be easy. But you fully expect Celtic to go and get the points because of the astro pitch, which sets it up lovely for next weekend."
