Arsenal flop Matteo Guendouzi branded 'useless' and 'idiot' by notorious Serie A hard man

Arsenal flop Matteo Guendouzi has been branded “good for nothing” and an “idiot” by a former Serie A hard man.
The French midfielder was touted as a star of the future following some promising early displays for the Gunners, but he failed to kick on and has become something of a journeyman since leaving the Emirates for Marseille in 2022. The 24-year-old remains tied to the Ligue 1 club, but is currently on loan at Lazio.
And his performances haven’t impressed former Roma and Inter Milan enforcer Radja Nainggolan, who has launched a scathing attack on Guendouzi, calling him “useless” and insisting he isn’t good enough for a team like Lazio, currently seventh in Serie A.

“Guendouzi is good for nothing,” Nainggolan, 35, told Controcalcio. “He only knows how to run. He is an idiot,” said the Belgian midfielder. "Lazio gave away [Sergej] Milinkovic and replaced him with Guendouzi.
“What’s the point of having him? He’s not a quality player. He shouldn’t even be in a team of Lazio’s calibre.”

“In his place, I would easily take [Alfred] Duncan from Fiorentina. Guendouzi is not a strong player, he’s average – I can name at least 12 other players better than him in Serie A.
“Tell me how many times he’s scored, how many shots he takes. He doesn’t have any qualities, he only knows how to break up the play.”
Guendouzi won’t get the chance to take any revenge on Nainggolan for his brutal comments as the Belgian veteran, who is renowned for his combative style of play, left Serie A three years ago. Following spells at Royal Antwerp and Italian lower league club SPAL, Nainggolan now plays for Bhayangkara in Indonesia.
