Alan Brazil couldn't resist bringing up Rangers' defeat to Ross County with Ally McCoist - as the Celtic diehard picked up where he left off on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers' side have been handed the initiative at the top of the Scottish Premiership after the shock defeat to Ross County - with Philippe Clement's side having the chance to close the gap to a point on Wednesday night should they finally get their game in hand on against Dundee at the third attempt. But before the showdown at Dens Park, Brazil couldn't resist bringing up the Staggies' first ever win over the Ibrox side once again.

The duo reunited on the talkSPORT Breakfast Show for the first time since the Light Blues' Dingwall disaster - and Brazil was quick to steer the conversation back to the conversation back to the Highlands as they looked ahead to the Wednesday night clash. Brazil quizzed: "Is that game going to be on? They are talking about moving it?"

McCoist responded: "The last I heard last night is that it is going to go ahead at Dens. But it still doesn't look good, does it?"

Brazil then couldn't resist taking a pot shot at the Rangers legend. He ignored the question, answering: "That was some shock at the weekend, eh? I am not putting the boot in, but I didn't expect that one from Ross County."

McCoist then revealed he had been taking stick for day from Brazil: "Didn't expect that one? I thought with my phone going with all the messages on Sunday you kind of enjoyed it.

"I think Sunday picked up a wee bit for you, would that be fair? You and I have a healthy working relationship but I don't need to receive messages from you on a Sunday rubbing salt in my wounds."
