'Oh what a night' - Watching Villa on a Thursday night has never felt so good

Have you recovered yet? No, me neither. What a special night that was in Lille, even watching along from the sofa at home (or behind it, more accurately). Having to deal with the emotions of a penalty shootout was something else.
I'm absolutely buzzing with that win, as I'm sure you are too. Remember all that talk in the summer about it being "only" the Conference League? Well it certainly means something now, even if you weren't initially bowled over by UEFA's third tier of European competition.
It's not been a Mickey Mouse trophy either, as some 'rival' fans will suggest. This has been tough. Legia Warsaw, Alkmaar, Ajax, Lille, Olympiacos - maybe Fiorentina...
It's been a real learning experience for Villa which they'll be able to take great information from ahead of another season in Europe next year, whether that's the Champions League or the Europa League.
