Unai Emery sat down with the media after Aston Villa's 4-2 defeat against Olympiacos in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final at Villa Park.

What did you make of that, Unai?
"We are frustrated and disappointed, we didn’t play well. We didn’t have control of the game, we were playing so fast. In a lot of moments we needed to stop them and get in the box with more passes. They were attacking and they played the matches so open and the plan was completely different.

"They did well and we didn’t do like we planned. They are favourite and they deserved to win today, we try to come back next week but they are favourite, we will play there trying to show something different."
Where do you need to improve?
"Everything. We conceded four goals, lost a lot of balls. We were extra motivated and extra excited and it’s a very good moment playing in the semi final and we lost the first leg today, we will have the second opportunity but we will focus now on Sunday."
What did you shout at Luiz after Olympiacos' second goal?
"My message is keep the ball, get the ball. You are our light with the ball. I was trying to support him and help him and try to give him the responsibility and help him feel confident."
Are you confident of getting through
"It depends. Each minute is giving us information there. Now they are favourite and we will try to prepare the match. It completely changes the match for them but we have again a new opportunity to play better and control the game better than today. Maybe we can get confidence. "
What went wrong with the offside trap?
"Sometimes it’s us, sometimes it’s the opponent. THe goal was overall, how you’re playing overall. Sometimes the first goal starts one minute before. Today we lost because we lost a lot of balls. We can get a penalty and one tight offside."
What positives can you take?
"Not a lot. Focus on Premier League that’s the only positive we have now.
