The Gers player ratings don't look good and for midfielder John Lundstram, the statisticians at WhoScored reckon it was the WORST performance of any in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Here's our we rated the Rangers stars from the 2-1 loss to Celtic.

Jack Butland

Reacted well to prevent Souttar own goal in opening seconds. Tipped early Forrest drive over then brilliant save to deny Kyogo a certain strike. Helpless at both goals. 8

James Tavernier

Rangers skipper has often been criticised for his defensive displays in these games and seemed to rein in attacks to combat that. Caught upfield in Celtic break forwards at second goal. 6

John Souttar

Needed Butland to prevent him scoring own goal in opening seconds. Had to have his wits about him as Celtic attacked but hooked at half-time for McAusland as Rangers reorganised after going down to ten. 4

Ben Davies

Handed his first league start since the end of October with Leon Balogun out and what a game to return for. Kept Kyogo quiet but it was often Celtic’s running midfielders that caused problems. 6

Borna Barisic

Looked like being a long 90 minutes for the Croat as Forrest went at him early on but overlapped in trademark style to cross and tee up first goal. Subbed on the hour for Yilmaz. 5

Mohamed Diomande

Ivorian midfielder did plenty of running but struggled to stem the Celtic attacks, particularly in the first half, then tripped O’Riley to concede second half penalty. 5

John Lundstram

Day to forget for the midfielder. Stabbed Maeda’s cross into his own goal for Celtic’s second goal then rightly sent packing after VAR check for late and stupid tackle on Johnston as half-time approached. 3

Dujon Sterling

Started on right and saw early header cleared by Scales. Got above Taylor to nod back across goal for Dessers to score. Moved to centre-back when Souttar went off at half-time and kept clean sheet. 7

Tom Lawrence

Given the nod ahead of Cantwell after his impact from the bench against Kilmarnock and exchanged words with McGregor after early challenge. Little came off and hooked on hour. 5

Fabio Silva

Portuguese attacker flashed early chance wide then might have done more with a header which he nodded past post. Initial pass led to goal. Replaced by Wright with 16 minutes left. 5

Cyriel Dessers

Saw little action in front of goal and was having quiet first half. But he got in between Scales and Carter-Vickers to pull a goal back. Replaced with Roofe late on. 6

SUBS: Ross McAusland (4) sent on for Souttar at half-time with Rangers down to ten, Nico Raskin (5) got stuck in up against McGregor, Ridvan Yilmaz (4) stemmed the attacks down Celtic’s right, Scott Wright (4) brilliant run but denied by McGregor, Kemar Roofe (2) late runout.
