Rangers ace John Lundstram ‘set to link up with ex-Barcelona star next season’

JOHN LUNDSTRAM'S future could involve a link up with a former Manchester United and Barcelona superstar, according to a report.
The Rangers midfielder has been in talks about extending his stay at Ibrox as he nears the end of his contract this summer.
But the Englishman has had interest from elsewhere - most notably Trabszonspor in Turkey and Premier League new boys Ipswich Town.
The Turkish side are also said to have tied down a deal for Gers left-back Borna Barisic who bid the Glasgow ground a tearful farewell against Dundee on Tuesday night.
And now their ambitions are extending to further re-inforcements in Istanbul - and big-name recruits at that.
President Ertuğrul Doğan confirmed that talks with four targets were complete, and another three could be forthcoming.
And that's believed to include Memphis Depay, according to a report in Turkey.
The update from news outlet Posta claimed the Dutch international, heading to this summer's Euros, is on the club's agenda.
He is currently in La Liga at Atletico Madrid.
It's also said that Trabzonspor have agreed deals with Clermont's Austrian midfielder Muhammed Cham and Romanian forward Denis Dragus.
Doğan revealed: "The agreement with four players is complete, negotiations are continuing for three players."
It's believed Depay is in the latter category with the Gers duo among the four.
Lundstram may have played his last game for Rangers after being red-carded in the weekend Old Firm defeat to Celtic.
He was ordered off by Willie Collum after a VAR review for a challenge on Hoops defender Alastair Johnston shortly before half-time.
The Canadian said that's why VAR is needed in Scottish football.
He said: “I knew it was bad. My socks were ripped and I had blood everywhere so I had a feeling this one might need to go to VAR.
“I saw the yellow come out and, to be fair, I saw the ball 30 yards away and thought maybe he did win the ball.
“But he definitely won me as well! I didn’t realise how bad it was until I saw the replay of it.
“In the moment he caught me pretty good, but it looked even worse than it was. A gash was halfway up my leg as well and down the side of it.
“I knew in the moment it probably wasn’t a great challenge and that’s why VAR is here.
“You can have a look at those tackles again to really see what happened. I think there are quite a few good freeze frames I’ve had sent to me that painted a pretty straight picture of what happened.”
