Cheeky Kenny Miller couldn't help but attempt to noise up a Celtic fan before the Scottish Cup Final as he called back to his controversial defence of Rangers star John Lundstram's red card.

The last time the two Glasgow giants went head-to-head Miller left punters baffled with his hot take hot take over Lundstram's lunge on Alistair Johnston while on commentary for Rangers' defeat at Celtic Park. The vast majority of viewers and pundits agreed the right decision had been reached in the Scottish Premiership showdown - while Rangers boss Philippe Clement even admitted the midfielder had made the wrong call.

The Ibrox hero claimed that Lundstram should only have been booked for the challenge in a heated debate on Sky Sports – before later lamenting the involvement of VAR on the day in his Record Sport column. And while the dust has settled on the debate, Miller attempted to troll a punter on air after Clyde 1 Superscoreboard caller Andy rhymed off a host of Light Blues players that should miss the showpiece final.

Miller responded: “Tav (James Tavernier) has been linked with a move. You look at Leon Balogun who is out of contract, John Lundstram could potential play and be out of contract. There is loan players who could be out like (Fabio) Silva. There is four, maybe five players that might not be at the club next year.

"Does that make a difference in the performance tomorrow? I would like to say no, but you just don’t know how every individual is wired up. They might have one eye on what is going on next season.

"I’m really intrigued to see the team selection of Philippe Clement. Could John Lundstram come back in? That is the big question for me. After the last game there was a lot of criticism thrown at John Lundstam for the sending off. Is this a chance for him to get a reprieve, when he has been a big player for Philippe Clement?”

As the caller continued - noting that he didn’t think Lundstram should play after his sending off - Miller couldn’t resist chiming in with a smirk. In an attempt to wind up incoming Celtic callers he said: “Never a red.”

Host Gordan Duncan cut in: “Kenny wants to discuss if it’s a red card from two weeks ago. Let’s not go round in circles.”
