Neil Warnock had a hilarious exchange with a Wembley groundsman after being drowned out by a lawnmower while on TV.

The managerial legend was a pundit for Sky Sports in their coverage of Southampton's 1-0 Championship play-off final win over Leeds.

Warnock, who previously managed Leeds, was at Wembley to offer his insight but found himself distracted by the noise behind him.

Sky Sports' pundits were positioned on the touchline after the full-time whistle, with the ground staff tending to the hallowed turf.

As Warnock was about to explain a point he was making, one of the lawnmowers behind him appeared to be too loud for him.

"Excuse me, can you be a bit louder please if you don't mind?" he said in a sarcastic manner when turning around to the groundsman with a smile on his face.

Presenter David Prutton and his fellow pundits were in hysterics, with Prutton joking that they were potentially getting ready for Taylor Swift's upcoming shows on June 21 to 23.

Another lawnmower then made its way past and Warnock held out his microphone to jokingly ask: "Do you want to just say a few words?"

Prutton, as well as co-pundits Jobi McAnuff and Troy Deeney, laughed once again as the 75-year-old showed why he's one of the most popular figures in English football.

Warnock was eventually able to get a word in as he spoke on how difficult the jump is from the Championship to the Premier League.

With Southampton now set for an instant return to the top-flight, he said: "You look at the teams that have came back down again, the three teams [Sheffield United, Burnley and Luton Town]…

"I think it's changed dramatically in the last couple of years, I think the money has become far bigger now than ever before.

"The three teams... I'll be honest with you, I thought the Burnley team that went up were better than the Burnley team that went down this year."

Adam Armstrong's goal in the 24th minute proved to be enough for Southampton to claim victory at Wembley despite late pressure from Leeds, who are still yet to be promoted via the play-offs.

Daniel Farke's side are the first team since 1998 to miss out on promotion despite finishing the season on 90 points.
