Newcastle United star Tino Livramento is stepping up his injury recovery at a luxury training complex in Greece as he looks to return in time for pre-season. The Magpies full-back enjoyed a stellar debut campaign on Tyneside but his season was curtailed by an ankle issue that just would not subside in the final games of the season.

Livramento initially picked up the problem against former club Chelsea in March before returning to the first-team in April. However, another ankle injury emerged in the final home game of the season against Brighton, forcing the 21-year-old to sit out of Newcastle's final two league fixtures and trip to Australia.

Now Livramento is working hard to shake the issue at the Mykonos Performance Fitness Centre in Greece. The Newcastle star has been undergoing rehabilitation exercises in a bid to build his strength before returning to the club's Benton HQ in July.

The elite complex has been used by some familiar Premier League faces in recent years including Newcastle's Joe Willock, Jack Grealish, Luke Shaw, Ollie Watkins, Morgan Gibbs-White, Reiss Nelson and Hector Bellerin. Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga and Bayern Munich duo Alphonso Davies & Jamal Musiala have also spent some of their down time at the highly-rated camp.

Located in the Mykonos mountains, the resort allows players to train, meditate and undergo therapy in tropical climes - whether they are returning from an injury or attempting to stay in shape over the summer. State-of-the-art gym facilities are manned by expert physiotherapists and massage therapists.

“Thanks guys for the great service and for taking care of me during my holidays," Manchester City star Grealish said after a spell at the complex. "I really enjoyed the football sessions under the sun as well as the treatment."

Livramento will be hoping his overseas work does the trick as he bids to hold down a place in Eddie Howe's Newcastle side next term. The former Southampton star made 26 appearances for the Magpies this term, featuring at right-back, left-back and further up the pitch.
