Everton are not closing in on deals for either Armando Broja or Wilfred Ndidi.

One report claimed Everton were pushing to sign Armando Broja, 22, that they are in daily contact with Chelsea with a £30million package discussed and Goodison Park chiefs were hoping for a quick breakthrough.

However, the ECHO understands any talk of deals of such magnitude are wide of the mark until Everton’s ownership issues are resolved. The Blues were looking at Broja in the summer of 2022 when Frank Lampard was in charge but there will be no imminent move for the striker who is heading to Euro 2024 with Albania having failed to score in eight Premier League matches on-loan at Chelsea’s west London neighbours Fulham this year.

Another article stated that Everton are plotting a move to sign Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer this summer as the Nigerian’s contract expires at the end of this month and he is viewed as an ideal replacement for Amadou Onana if the Belgium international leaves. Although, director of football Kevin Thelwell has made clear that a sustainable football model has to be built on astute trading, in and out of the club, and prudent options such as Kalvin Phillips, a potential loan signing from Manchester City, is on Sean Dyche’s radar, there is no interest in Ndidi who has been at the King Power Stadium since January 2017.
