Celtic have reportedly been told the asking price for Peter Vindahl Jensen after he emerged as the "top target" to replace Joe Hart.

It has been claimed that that the boss is a big fan of the 6ft 5" keeper.

The Daily Mail report that Sparta will "command a fee in excess of £4million" after Vindahl Jensen signed a multi-year deal in March to make his loan switch from the Eredivise permanent. Parkhead hero Peter Grant reckons that it could be the perfect move for both Celtic and the 35-year-old goalkeeper - if a suitable fee can be reached. Speaking to Go Radio, Grant said: “I thought he done really well at first at Newcastle, before Nick Pope came in. I was quite surprised as he was doing ever so well for them, but that proved to be a fantastic signing for them.

"He went to Manchester United and played a couple of games for them, and came back to Newcastle United and played for them because Pope got injured. He is 35 but nowadays they all look fantastically fit, and it shows you the qualities when a Manchester United go in for you as well. He is a quality goalkeeper, but it depends what the price is."

In terms of outgoings, AS Roma are the latest club to join the race for Matt O'Riley, according to a report. Atletico Madrid had an offer of around £20million knocked back in January and will reportedly return to the table - while Southampton have also been linked.
