JOHN LUNDSTRAM and Borna Barisic could be joined by another former SPFL star in Turkey next season.

The Rangers duo have been heavily linked with a move to Trabzonspor at the end of their contracts.

And the SuperLig side could add to their SPFL experience in their new-look squad, according to reports.

They have targeted another out of contract old boy from the Scottish top flight - Motherwell cult hero Cedric Kipre.

The defender is reaching the end of his deal at West Brom.

The Baggies were beaten in the promotion play-offs for a spot in the Premier League by eventual winners Southampton - despite the 27-year-old finding the net.

His four season spell at The Hawthorns now appears to be up and the Turkish side are said to be keen.

Media outlet Sabah said he's in advanced talks with the club - a stage also reportedly reached by Rangers duo Lundstram and Barisic.

As far back as March the left-back was reported to have agreed a deal in principle with the Istanbul side, and links with Lundstram have also followed frequently.

Motherwell picked Kipre up from Leicester's youth ranks in 2017 and immediately propelled him into the Fir Park first team.

His no nonsense style made him a cult hero with the Steelmen and prompted Wigan to shell out almost £1m for him a year later.

West Brom then picked up the former PSG youth player for a similar fee and during his time in the Midlands he's also had loan spells at Belgian side Chaleroi and Cardiff City where he was the Bluebirds' player of the year.

Gers duo Barisic and Lundstram were among the five confirmed departures from Ibrox announced on June 1.

They'll head for the exit along with Ryan Jack, Jon McLaughlin and Kemar Roofe.

But their next steps are yet to be revealed.

The Croatian defender has reportedly agreed a two-year deal at Trabzonspor with an option of a third, while Lundstram has been heavily linked with a three-year deal.
