HARRY REDKNAPP claims Arsenal will be making a huge mistake if they sell Kieran Tierney.

The Scotland star impressed at the Emirates after joining from Celtic, helping the Gunners clinch the FA Cup in 2020.

But Oleksandr Zinchenko’s arrival from Manchester City in 2022 saw Tierney fall down the pecking order.

He spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad and is now expected to leave the Gunners this summer.

But former Spurs and West Ham boss Redknapp said: “I thought Kieran Tierney was going to be a great player for Arsenal.

“When he first arrived I thought, ‘What a player this kid is’. He reminded me a little bit of Stuart Pearce back in the day.

“When he first came along, I thought the two best left-backs in the league were both Scottish, Tierney and Andy Robertson.

“I’m really disappointed as it looks like he has to leave Arsenal now.

“I still think Tierney could do a good job for them. They could do with a proper left-back for me.

“I’d like to see him get his career back on track at a club that appreciates him.

“From what I’ve seen of Tierney, I believe that Arsenal would be making a big mistake letting him go.”

Meanwhile the Tartan Army have roped in a Sky Sports legend as an honorary supporter of Steve Clarke's squad.

Around 250,000 Scotland fans will travel to Germany over the coming days and weeks, including various broadcasters, journalists and media personalities like Ally McCoistJoe Hart and our very own Gordon Strachan.

Another favourite with fans is Jeff Stelling, the former Sky Sports presenter who now hosts the Breakfast show on talkSPORT.

The veteran broadcaster posted a video of the group on his Twitter (X) account, with the caption "Love the Tartan Army."

He is seen in the middle of the group as they swig cans of beer outside a strip of bars in the German host city.
