German legend Toni Kroos is calling time on his career after the latest European Championship tournament.
The Real Madrid midfielder signed off his club career with victory in the 2024 UEFA Champions League final, making him a joint-record six-time winner of the competition.
With a World Cup under his belt as well as several league titles and domestic cups for Madrid and previously Bayern Munich, a fitting sign-off would be to finally get his hands on the Euros title.
Germany kicked off Euro 2024 in style with an emphatic 5-1 win over Scotland in the opening game. Kroos was excellent, completing 101/102 passes as he dominated the midfield.

Barring a change of heart, Toni Kroos' last match as a professional footballer will be for Germany at Euro 2024 after he announced his retirement from the sport earlier this year.
Kroos had previously retired from international football following Euro 2020 but returned to the fold at the start of 2024.
