Scotland fans facing fan-zone CHAOS as thunderstorms close ALL Cologne venues
There's a severe weather warning in the area
SCOTLAND supporters in Cologne ahead of Wednesday's clash with Switzerland are facing a washout today with ALL fan zones CLOSED.
That's because some nasty-looking thunderstorms are forecast in the from late morning.

Tens of thousands of Tartan Army members will be alighting in the area ahead of the second Group A clash at the RheinEnergieStadion.
Many will have pencilled in a day of al fresco boozing, perhaps taking in today's games on the big screen.
There's just two games today - as Turkiye take on Georgia and Portugal face Czechia.
But the bad news for Scotland fans is that the city's two fan zones at Heumarkt and Tanzbrunnen are CLOSED all day.

The EM Rhine ferry service is also suspended.
The City of Cologne's official press service said: "Due to an official storm warning from late morning with expected heavy rain, hail and heavy gusts of wind, all events and activities in the host city Cologne associated with the European Championship must be cancelled for today , Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

"The Venues Fan Zone at Heumarkt, public viewing at Tanzbrunnen and the Football Experience will remain closed for the entire day. The EM Rhine ferry service will also be suspended.
"The necessary discussions with security partners were held yesterday evening and preparatory measures to secure the venues were initiated.

"The decision to cancel all events was made on Tuesday morning after further consultation with the German Weather Service.
"All previously announced events and various surprise performances will not take place.

"The restaurants in Cologne city centre were already advised yesterday evening, Monday 17 June 2024, to secure their outdoor dining areas accordingly."
