Scotland head into their second match of Euro 2024 with the pressure off following their opening day defeat against Germany, now knowing that nothing less than a point will do and a win tonight will leave them needing just a draw from their final game against Hungary.
Scotland's last victory in a major competition came against Switzerland in Euro 96.
Che Adams scored 17 goals for Southampton last season en-route to securing promotion back to the Premier League and was also on target for Scotland in their win over Gibraltar earlier in the month.
Scotland's Euro 2024 campaign got off to the worst possible start last weekend with a 5-1 defeat to hosts Germany in the tournament's opening game, which saw them 3-0 down and a man down at half time due to Ryan Porteous' red card.
The defender has picked up a two-match suspension following the challenge, forcing Steve Clarke's hand to make at least one change, and more could come as he and his side seek a refresh and to mentally start their tournament again.
The Tartan Army head into the second round of group stage fixtures rooted to the bottom of the Group A table due to their inferior goal difference, which they will want to improve as much and as quick as they can to aid their hopes of reaching a first ever knockout stage of a major competition.
Friday night's defeat now leaves Scotland with just one win in their last 10 matches, which came in a 2-0 victory over Gibraltar at the start of the month.
The mood in the Switzerland camp is a contrasting one, sitting pretty in Group A having earned three points from their opening match, a 3-1 win over a Hungary side fancied by some as the tournament's dark horses this year.
Murat Yakin's side have now won four of their last five matches without defeat and have lost on only one occasion since the 2022 World Cup, a run spanning 15 matches, and know that another win today will guarantee their place in the knockout stage for the fifth tournament in a row.
Scotland have the better record between the two sides their 16 meetings, leading the head-to-head 8-5, but the two nations haven't met since a friendly in Glasgow back in 2006, in which the Swiss ran out 3-1 winners.
