JOHN LUNDSTRAM will reportedly earn more than his Rangers pal Borna Barisic at Trabzonspor.

The former Rangers duo officially joined the Turkish club this week after months of speculation as they ran down their contracts at Ibrox.

The Light Blues confirmed both players' departures last month and it was only a matter of time before they both secured their next moves.

And they decided to stay together as team-mates and head to Turkey, where they will both go head-to-head with former Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst who is the new Besiktas gaffer.

The two players arrived in Turkey this week after putting pen to paper and the club have now made the news official with an announcement on both signings.

It was already revealed that Lundstram had agreed a three-year-deal with the club, while Barisic signed a two-year contract with an option to add a third.

Now further details on the pair's contracts have been released, with both players' wages revealed.

The team-mates will reportedly earn the same base salary, which is suggested to be around £25,000 per week.

That's according to beIN Sports Turkey - who claim Lundstram will get the better end of the deal however as he is set to pocket around £420,000 in bonuses, whereas Barisic is expected to earn close to £280,000.

The report also suggests that Barisic's contract will be triggered by another 12 months if he is in the starting XI for at least 50 per cent of the club's league fixtures in the 2025/26 season.

Speaking after landing in Turkey yesterday, Lundstram thanked Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz for helping him secure the move to Trabzonspor.

He said: "I have Borna to thank. When he got the call about Trabzonspor, he also said the manager really likes me and the club would like to sign me.

"So I went home to speak to my wife and called my agent very fast to say let's go."

"I'm a very good friend with Ridvan Yilmaz, so we spoke a lot about Turkey even before the interest from Trabzonspor.

"I wanted to know about the culture, about Besiktas and what the fans are like, because I hear that you guys are quite crazy.

"And, when I heard from Trabzonspor, I asked Ridvan and he said I'd love the club. So I was very comfortable with the decision."
