Malmo are set to end Sead Haksabanovic's unhappy spell at Celtic.

The Swedish champions have agreed a deal with the Hoops to sign their Montenegro international. The 25-year-old has struggled to make an impact under Brendan Rodgers. Haksabanovic is set to move to Malmo on a five year contract that should be completed this week. He was sent out on-loan to Stoke City.

Haksabanovic was one of a number of players that Celtic have deemed surplus to requirement this summer. The winger has struggled to make an impact in Scotland but has a solid reputation in Sweden. The former West Ham player has had spells at Halmstads, Norrkoping and Djurgardens. Celtic bought him from Rubin Kazan in 2022. Belgian side Genk are also still trying to seal a deal with Celtic to sign South Korean striker Oh. Celtic have knocked back two opening bids but discussions remain on going. Genk remain confident they can get a deal done.

Meanwhile, former Denmark striker Mikel Bekk is stunned that Matt O'Riley is still a Celtic player. The midfielder missed out on the Danish squad for Euro 2024 after starring for the hoops in their double winning season.

Atletico Madrid are big admirers and had a January enquiry booted out by the Scottish champions. But they could yet try again and with English clubs also sniffing around, Beck can't see him staying in Glasgow for long.

"O'Riley didn't have the best of games for Denmark when he's been given a chance, but when you look at his stats for his club, he scored 18 goals for Celtic which is phenomenal," he told TVSporten.

"I'm surprised Celtic still have him and also surprised he didn't get in the Denmark squad. We need goals and we don't score enough. I believe he is a very good player and I will be surprised if he's still at Celtic after this summer."
