European club ‘reject chance to sign released Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack on a free transfer’

A top European club have reportedly rejected the chance to sign released Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack on a free.
The former Ibrox player was allowed to leave in the summer after spending seven years at the club and the 32-year-old was linked with a move to Dundee last month.
However, reports in Belgium have revealed the Scotland international was offered to Standard Liege in a bid to resurrect his career abroad.
But cash-strapped Standard declined to offer Jack a deal with Croatian manager Ivan Leko not interested.
The club have instead turned their attention instead to former Bochum star Christophe Antwi-Adjei and ex-Gent player Dylan Bronn instead, with both also available for nothing.
Jack was a part of Steve Clarke's Euro 2024 squad despite managing just five league starts for Rangers last season, but failed to play a single minute in Germany.
Robby McCrorie, meanwhile, is on his way out of Rangers.
SunSport exclusively revealed last night that the goalkeeper is set to join Kilmarnock.
It's understood the 26-year old is on the verge of sealing a permanent switch to Rugby Park on a two-year contract.
McCrorie's deal at Ibrox had a year left to run.
The Gers had been hoping to sign him to a new contract but the shot-stopper turned offers down and even handed in a transfer request.
McCrorie has been unable to hold down a first team spot with Jack Butland the club's undisputed No1 keeper.
Rangers signed former Motherwell captain Liam Kelly as a replacement.
Killie have been on the lookout for a new first choice keeper.
Will Dennis had the gloves last season and impressed.
But the 23-year old was only on loan from Bournemouth and returned to his parent club at the end of last season.
