The Dutchman has raised plenty of eyebrows in Germany, not for his performances, but for his decision to wear a headband throughout the tournament.

The Netherlands striker stands out on the pitch with his white headband making him very clear to see amongst the iconic orange Dutch shirts.
He has started every game for his country so far, scoring one goal and assisting another ahead of their semi-final clash against England.

Why is Depay wearing a headband?
Depay has worn a headband for every game at Euro 2024.

He first had it on during a game when the Netherlands faced Canada in a friendly as the Oranje prepared for the tournament.
The 30-year-old then wore it again against Iceland in their final outing before Euro 2024.
It was after that game that Depay revealed why he opted to wear the headband following some criticism in the Dutch media.
"The previous match I made 20 minutes of time for the press in the mixed zone and I haven't had any questions about it [the game],” he said.

“Who cares? It looks great on me and helps me sweat. My girlfriend likes that sweatband. Amazing, right?
“It's a new look and I feel good about it. I'm already thinking about what colour I'm going to wear in Germany."
Depay ended up deciding on white and he’s donned the headband for every minute he’s spent on the pitch so far.
In the Netherlands’ opening game of the tournament, the accessory even had the words ‘Who Cares’ stitched into it, sending a message to those who were questioning his style.
The former Manchester United man will now be coming up against some familiar faces tonight as the Netherlands face England, live on talkSPORT.
He will be hoping to lead his country from the front and help them book their place in the Euro 2024 final this weekend.
