Forgotten Celtic star Oh Hyeon-gyu set to seal Parkhead transfer exit as new club ‘closing the deal’ with Hoops

OH HYEON-GYU is set to make his Celtic exit, with the club finally reaching an agreement for his sale.
First team football has been few and far between for Oh in his time with the champions, and he has been touted for a move away from the club for most of this summer.
The 23-year-old South Korean has made just 36 league appearances for the Hoops since his arrival 18 months ago, scoring 11 goals.
However, most of those have been short cameos from the bench.
With Japanese superstar Kyogo Furuhashi one of the first names on the Celtic teamsheet, minutes have been scarce for Oh.
And with Celts in hot pursuit of Scottish Cup final hero, Adam Idah, it doesn't look like that's going to change either.
Celtic have reportedly come to an agreement to sell Oh to Belgian Pro League side, KRC Genk.
Genk were in contact with Oh last month for his signature, but both parties were yet to reach an agreement on a fee.
Belgian journalist, Sacha Tavolieri said: "KRC Genk currently closing the deal with Celtic for Hyeon-Gyu Oh.
"Matter of time."
USA defender Mark McKenzie is currently on the books at Genk, an international team mate of Cameron Carter-Vickers.
With his departure looming, Celtic are a little short of depth at the striker position.
Kyogo stays as the obvious first choice for Brendan Rodgers.
But there is a lack of an out-and-out striker behind him.
Daizen Maeda has previously stepped into that role, but Brendan Rodgers has made it very clear that Adam Idah the man for the job.
Celtic had a £4million pound deal knocked back by Norwich City for the Irish international.
The Canaries are said to value Idah at £7million pounds, with new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup adamant he wants the opportunity to evaluate his striker before making any decision on his future.
Another position Celtic are short of options is between the sticks.
The champions have been linked with plenty of goalkeeper options this summer.
Their primary target, is Sparta Prague stopper, Peter Vindahl Jensen.
However, the Czech champions have made it very clear it's going to take a bid of around £8million if Celtic are to get near their number 1.
