Brendan Rodgers is hoping to have new recruits on board for the USA with Kasper Schmeichel closing in as the new No1 while Paulo Bernardo could be heading back after a £3.5million bid was reportedly submitted to Benfica.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Parkhead with a £6million fee struck in the original agreement but the Scottish champions have been keen to renegotiate that figure with the Daily Mail reporting that formal negotiations are underway over the price tag mentioned above with the move including add-ons and a sell-on percentage to the Portuguese giants. Last season Bernardo made 33 appearances in all competitions and netted four goals and provided three assists.

The Parkhead side could also have departures with interest ramping up in some key men. Atalanta are getting ready to come back to the table for Matt O'Riley after their opening advances got booted out. Reo Hatate is also said to have interest with an approach from Russia rejected. Oh is also heading towards the exit door with reports claiming a move to Genk is just a 'matter of time'. However, Rodgers has told his in-demand stars it is business as usual until told otherwise.

He said: “You never know what will happen but I always say to the guys to just stay in the present. Just stay on the day. Don’t look too far ahead. Don’t think about it too much. You look at Oh’s attitude. He was brilliant against Queen’s Park the other night. There have been bits of interest around him but like I said, just stay in the present. If you do that and work hard, then you can just see what will happen after that.”

Meanwhile, Odsonne Edouard could leave Crystal Palace this summer with reported interest from England and abroad. The former Celtic striker was a huge hit in Glasgow after Rodgers swooped to land him on a loan deal from French giants PSG before making the transfer permanent. The former France Under-21 international was a popular figure with the fans in Glasgow and became the main man after the big money departure of Moussa Dembele.

He would follow a similar path and made the move to England with Crystal Palace in the early days of Ange Postecoglou's reign - who is now boss of Tottenham. His goal record hasn't been as fluent in the EPL as it was in Scotland but transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the hitman is considering all his options this summer with several clubs keen on his services with THREE approaches already landing from both Italy and England.

He stated: "Odsonne Edouard could leave Crystal Palace this summer with several clubs interested in the striker. Three approaches from Italy and Premier League, the player will take his time to consider all the options. "
