An update on the future of former Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane has emerged amid Al-Nassr exit links. The 32-year-old departed Anfield for Bayern Munich in 2022 before he then moved to Saudi Arabia after just one season in Germany.
From 269 appearances in red, Mane scored 120 goals and picked up 42 assists which saw him play a huge role in the Premier League and Champions League triumphs under Jurgen Klopp. In just one season, Mane managed just 12 goals with his exit a rather toxic one after he allegedly punched Leroy Sane.
Since arriving in the Middle East, Mane appears to have put that difficult spell at the German giants behind him, with 19 goals and a further 11 assists arriving in his first 46 games.

Despite that, exit links have emerged with a sensational return to RB Salzburg, the club Mane departed for Southampton back in 2014, wanted by the player. His contract at Al-Nassr expires in 2026 and his current club would have to help significantly when it comes to Mane potentially returning to Austria.
However, Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg has offered clarity on the situation claiming talk of a move back to Salzburg for the Senegal international is wide off the mark. Mane's agent Bjorn Bezemer has also ruled out an exit ahead of the 2024/25 season.
"I did NOT have any meeting with clubs regarding Sadio," he said as quoted by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. "He is preparing the season with Al Nassr and has absolutely no intention to leave. His club is extremely happy with him."
