Norwich City have reportedly warned suitors of a bumper price tag for Kenny McLean with Sheffield United and Swansea City said to be joining Rangers in the race for a deal.

Record Sport revealed that the Scotland international has been placed on Philippe Clement and his recruitment team's list of summer targets, with the former Aberdeen and St Mirren playmaker having been tracked by the Light Blues' scouting team at the end of the season and at Euro 2024. But it doesn't appear that the 32-year-old will be short of options should he opt to leave Carrow Road with reports south of the border suggesting English Championship sides are queuing up for a deal.

The South Wales Evening Post state that Norwich have informed the Swans that it would take a "serious bid" to tempt them into a sale of key man McLean this summer. With the midfielder "key to Norwich's style" it "would not be cheap" to snap up the player.

It's a position that could scare off Rangers - with Clement already admitting that the Scottish Premiership side have to sell before they can add more new faces. However, Sevilla outcast Joan Jordan could present a more affordable midfield option if a loan switch can be agreed.

The two-time Europa League winner has been told he is surplus to requirements by the La Liga side with reports suggesting that an offer from Rangers to take the midfielder on loan and pick up 30 per cent of his wages has been turned down by Sevilla. However, it is claimed in Spain that the club are still open to an exit.

Boss Garcia Pimienta has sent a strong message to the misfit and the likes of Adnan Januzaj and Oscar Rodríguez - after they were left out of the squad for the first pre-season clash with Orlando Pirates. Asked what he would say to players missing from the campaign opener, he said OB: “Go out and try to be protagonists in their careers. Although they have a contract, they must value their profession and act responsibly so as not to become a burden for the club.”

Elsewhere, former Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos looks set to finally end his nightmare spell at Santos and return to Colombia. W Radio Colombia claim that a move to Atletico Nacional is "preferred" by the 28-year-old and the two clubs are "very close to finalising the agreement." Morelos has netted just four goals and only managed 17 appearances for the fallen Brazilian giants during an injury-plagued spell.
