Lucy Bronze has won titles at Liverpool, Manchester City, Lyon and Barcelona, including a famous treble in Catalonia last season, as well as the European Championships with England in 2022. The 32-year-old defender now has the chance to add to her honours list as she has signed for current WSL champions Chelsea on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal with the possibility of another 12 months.

Chelsea have signed England international Lucy Bronze on a free transfer from Barcelona, with the defender signing a two-year contract.
The Women's Super League champions are rebuilding after being pushed hard for the title, as well as moving on from Emma Hayes’ departure with former Lyon boss Sonia Bompastor coming in to replace the new US manager.
The 32-year-old Bronze has signed a two-year contract to join the Blues, with the option of a further year’s extension.
She had been in talks to remain in Catalonia but turned down any offers as she was not guaranteed to start ahead of Spanish international full-back Ona Batile.
Speaking to the club's website Bronze said "To know I’m a Chelsea player still feels a little bit surreal. It’s obviously a club I know so much about and have done for such a long time.
"I’m really excited to be back in England. My family are so excited as well to get to more of my games.
"I’m excited to be in London, to see what the capital holds and to be at a club that is renowned for winning so many trophies."
The Manchester City defender left Barcelona as her contract came to an end, and she will see a familiar face at the club: Chelsea’s assistant manager Camille Abiliy was a coach when Bronze was at Lyon.
In France, Bronze won a hat-trick of Champions League titles, and followed that up with two more at Barcelona, with 2023/24’s triumph coming as part of a treble. Whilst at City she won the WSL once and the FA Cup twice.
She is the latest signing by new manager Bompastor, who has already added 20-year-old midfielder Julia Bartel who is also from Barcelona and two players from PSG in Sandy Baltimore and Oriane Jean-Francois.
Bronze has also won the WSL at Liverpool, and was part of England’s team to win Euro 2022, and also reached the final of the World Cup last year.
