A goal-getting striker could be the difference that fires Arsenal to the Premier League title.
The Gunners came agonisingly close to the title last season but were pipped to the trophy by Manchester City on the final day.
But after making huge strides under Mikel Arteta in recent seasons, Arsenal will once again target league glory this season.
The only addition to their squad so far this summer has been David Raya’s move becoming permanent, but another arrival is imminent after Arsenal agreed a deal to sign Riccardo Calafiori.
With reinforcements to their defensive department now secured, Arsenal’s transfer team can look further up the pitch to add extra firepower to their squad.
A new striker is on their radar, with Arsenal still keen to monitor Viktor Gyokeres at Sporting Lisbon.
But Stewart Robson has told his former side to look elsewhere for a new forward.

Stewart Robson tells Arsenal to sign £50m striker
Arsenal relied on Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz to lead the line last season and, while they help to glue Arteta’s side together, their goal tallies were not enough to fire the Gunners to the title.
Speaking on ESPN, Robson told Arsenal they should be targeting Brentford star Ivan Toney.
“They’ve had Jesus as the centre forward who hasn’t quite worked for them despite starting off brilliantly,” he said.
“Havertz does a good job there, but is he an out-and-out centre forward? Someone like Ivan Toney could be the answer.
“He’s not going to play every week, against some of the big teams they might play Havertz at centre-forward.
“But I think they need another option at centre forward and Ivan Toney would be that option – someone who can hold up play, win balls in the air, be aggressive when balls come into the box.”
Ivan Toney’s price tag this summer
HITC revealed earlier this month that both Tottenham and Arsenal have shown an interest in Toney with Atletico Madrid also joining the race.
He has turned down several contract offers at Brentford despite being admired by manager Thomas Frank, who branded him as “remarkable” last year.

As per The Athletic, Toney’s price tag has dropped down to £50million with Manchester United also internally discussing a deal for him.
Toney will now be available at a cut-price deal with Brentford understandably fearful of losing him on a free transfer if he doesn’t leave this summer.
