Deniz Undav has made his highly-anticipated permanent move from Brighton & Hove Albion to Stuttgart. Brighton were keen to reintegrate the 28-year-old back into their squad, but the striker will remain in Germany with the Bundesliga side. Undav's 19 goals helped the Bundesliga side seal second spot last season, finishing above a flailing Bayern Munich team.

Deniz Undav has moved from Brighton & Hove Albion to Stuttgart on a four-year deal for a reported fee of €30 million, putting pen to paper on a three-year contract.
The 28-year-old returns to the Bundesliga side on a permanent basis after a successful loan spell last season, when he scored 19 goals across 33 appearances in all competitions.
Undav’s sparkling form resulted in a first Germany call-up, making his debut in a 2-0 friendly victory over France in March.
He subsequently earned a place in his nation’s Euro 2024 squad, making a solitary appearance off the bench in the 2-0 group stage win over Hungary.
Stuttgart sports director Fabuan Wohlgemuth told the club website: "Deniz has achieved extraordinary things in his first year in Stuttgart.
“He has not only enriched the quality of our attack, but has also developed into a national player on the basis of his special skills. Deniz is someone who inspires as a type who is important for the social fabric of the group.
“In both sporting and non-sporting terms, this quickly made him an identification figure for us. His behaviour and Deniz's declared desire to continue playing for VfB have clearly shown that this affection is not one-sided.
“After long and demanding negotiations, we have now created a contractual basis to be able to plan with Deniz in the long term.
“Economically, this transfer takes us into a new dimension, but we are also investing in quality that has already proven itself. We are happy that we can now announce completion of this matter and look forward to our shared future with Deniz."
The transfer ends a two-and-a-half-year association with Brighton since Undav arrived from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in January 2022.
He remained with the Belgian side on loan for the remainder of the season, before linking up with his new Brighton team-mates that summer.
Undav scored eight goals in 30 appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign, as The Seagulls secured a sixth-place finish in the Premier League and sealed European qualification for the first time.
Among the highlights of that season was a brace in a 6-0 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the final goal in a 3-0 win away at Arsenal.
