JOTA looks set to complete a cross-Saudi Arabian switch this week with a move to Al-Fateh lined up to work under Slaven Bilic.

The former Celtic winger has failed to establish himself at Al-Ittihad since his £25 million move from the Hoops last summer and made just nine league starts, although he did score four goals for the club, who finished fifth in their league.

He was even initially left out the squad for the first part of the season before getting back into the team.

Jota was handed new hope when former Bordeaux, Paris St-Germain, Lyon and France boss Laurent Blanc took charge last month.

But he's sanctioned a move for Jota either on loan or on a permanent deal

And Al-Fateh - who are based in the eastern region of Al-Ahsa - are trying to secure a deal with Jota's club so they can match his wages he's been paid at Al-Ittihad.

Croatian boss Bilic has been at the club for a year now and the former West Ham, West Brom and Watford manager is keen on the 25-year-old.

His current club want to reduce the number of foreigners they have and will allow Jota to go despite splashing out that bumper fee for him.

The 25-year-old played just 16 times in the Saudi top flight last season, after making a bank breaking move from Celtic.

He had the opportunity to team up with some of the world's best in Karim Benzema, Fabinho, and N'Golo Kante.

But with the introduction of Moussa Diaby to the squad, regular game time doesn't look any closer for the Portuguese winger.

And at Al-Fateh he could link up with another former Celtic star.

Belgian international defender, Jason Denayer, currently turns out for Al Fateh.

Denayer played for the Hoops on loan from Premier League champions Manchester City, during the 2014/15 campaign.

He made 29 league appearances for the club, scoring five goals in green and white.

Denayer has accumulated 35 caps for Belgium, and after permanent moves to Lyon, and Al Shabab Ahli - in the UAE - made a move to Saudi Arabia at the beginning of last season.
