Celtic are reportedly monitoring midfielder Wataru Endo with Liverpool "open minded" to a sale following the arrival of Arne Slot.

Former Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers has been taking admiring glances at some of the Reds' players this summer with both Owen Beck and Bobby Clark touted with a move to the Scottish Premiership champions this summer - and 31-year-old Endo is the latest to be tipped with a switch north. Reports suggest that boss Slot doesn't see the midfielder as key part of his squad going into the new English Premier League campaign this weekend with the club now willing to listen to offers for the Japan captain.

Both Ryan Gravenberch and Stefan Bajcetic are ahead of Endo in the pecking order - with The Sun reporting wants to play regular first-team football this season. While Celtic and Marseille are both named as interested parties the £15million asking price could "put off" the Hoops.

In terms of defensive cover, the door remains open for Burnley star Dara O'Shea. Record Sport revealed at the start of July that the Hoops want to make a summer move for the stopper.

While a move appeared to be looking increasingly unlikely with Brentford leading the race, Sky Sports report that talks with the Bees have stalled over the fee. It is claimed that the two clubs "are not on the same page" with regards to the valuation.

And with Adam Idah set to seal a return to Glasgow's east end from Norwich City, could another blockbuster return be on the cards? Reports in Saudi had suggested that Jota "would love" to come back to Celtic - and he appears to finally be nearing an end to his Al-Ittihad nightmare.

The winger has once again been cut from the list of foreign players in the Saudi Pro League squad and Al-Riyadh report the player and his representatives have held crunch talks with the club powerbrokers. It is claimed Ittihad are "trying to convince him to accept" a loan transfer to Saudi side Al-Fateh.

It is claimed that Ittihad have "prepared several solutions to ensure getting rid" of Jota this summer and Fateh present the "least possible financial losses." However, a return to Europe could still be on the cards if the 25-year-old does not choose one of the club's solutions.
