Bojan Miovski finally completes Aberdeen exit for CLUB RECORD fee sealing huge move to Champions League side

BOJAN MIOVSKI has joined Spanish club Girona in a record transfer sale for the Dons.
The 25-year-old hit 44 goals in 97 Aberdeen appearances at Pittodrie and will now have the chance to strut his stuff in the Champions League.
In an emotional farewell at the weekend, Miovski was seen in tears as he was serenaded by the fans after a 3-1 victory over St Mirren.
Miovski weeped as he kissed the club badge and waved to the Aberdeen support after coming on as a late sub in the home win.
La Liga outfit Girona have paid a reported 4.7million euros up front for the striker, with additional 3million euros in incentives, with a sell on percentage included.
This takes the total fee for the striker to an eye watering 7.7million euros (£6.5million).
He has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Catalonians.
A club statement read: "Bojan Miovski, 25 years old, will strengthen the attack of Girona FC. The Macedonian forward has signed a 4-year contract until June 2028, after the Club reached an agreement with Aberdeen for the player's transfer. Miovski, who has already passed a medical check-up, will join training with the team tomorrow.
"The new striker from Girona started his professional career at the age of 18, making his debut in the First Division of North Macedonia with FK Bregalnica in 2017. He went through several clubs in his country such as FK Rabotnički, FK Makedonija GP or KF He renews before moving to MTK in Hungary in 2020. In the summer of 2022 he signed for Aberdeen in Scotland, where in two seasons he has shown his goal-scoring flair. Last season he scored 26 goals in 53 games, including those achieved in the Scottish Premiership, the Europa League and the Conference League. To these must be added the 18 he signed in the season of his debut in Aberdeen.
"Miovski has been international with his country's national team in the lower categories, making his senior debut in October 2021. Since then he has made 23 appearances for the North Macedonian national team."
The striker signed when Jim Goodwin was at the helm in 2022, joining from Hungarian side MTK Budapest.
He cost the Dons just 650,000 euros, meaning the Pittodrie club are set to make a huge profit on their star striker.
Pittodrie chief executive Alan Burrows said: “Bojan has been a magnificent number nine for Aberdeen and although we are clearly sad to be losing him, we’re also delighted that he has achieved such an exciting move. He deserves it, and we thank him for his significant contribution.
“The deal is also a good one for the Club and further strengthens the player trading strategy adopted and driven by Dave Cormack and the board over a number of seasons. This model means a club will plan to invest much more each season in football wages and transfer fees compared to what it brings in as income from the likes of season tickets, hospitality and retail.
“It obviously relies on deals like Bojan’s, where all the proceeds are being reinvested in our football department, and as CEO I’m indebted to our investor group for underwriting the strategy which will have its cashflow ups and downs over the seasons. We will work hard to develop this further, whilst constantly reviewing and benchmarking ourselves against similar clubs across Europe, particularly in Scandinavia, who are doing it very effectively and are regularly punching above their weight.
“Our focus remains on developing our own players through our academy whilst complimenting that with smart recruitment from across the world, with the aim of driving football success to Aberdeen FC.
“We have already added six players in this window and our recruitment department, together with the manager, continue to explore ways to strengthen the squad between now and the end of the month.”
This follows the huge sales of former team mate Ylber Ramadani and Ross McCrorie who both left the club last season.
Girona stunned La Liga last season, with a third place finish which netted them automatic Champions League qualification.
With star striker Artem Dovbyk leaving the club for Italian giants Roma Miovski is set to step into the Ukrainian's shoes.
Dovbyk netted 24 times in 36 La Liga outings for Girona, landing the golden boot in the process.
So Miovski will have plenty of work to do to fill his shoes.
But, having scored 16 goals in the Scottish Premiership last season, he's in the perfect goal scoring form ahead of his big move.
Miovski has played 22 times for his native North Macedonia, scoring on three occasions.
Now he will join European stars such as Donny van de Beek, Daley Blind, Viktor Tsygankov, and Olympic gold medallist Abel Ruiz in Catalonia.
