Cristiano Ronaldo could reportedly face a hefty monthly payout if he ever splits from Georgina Rodriguez.

The Portuguese football icon has been in a high-profile relationship with Rodriguez since 2016, with the glamorous couple often flaunting their love life at public events and on TV shows. The 39-year-old athlete has amassed a staggering net worth of around £500million thanks to his illustrious career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and at present, Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Besides being the world's highest-paid athlete - earning £173m annually in Saudi Arabia - the striker also earns millions more each year through various sponsorship deals.

However, should he and Georgina ever part ways, Ronaldo would reportedly have to say goodbye to a chunk of his massive income. As per Portugal's TV GUIA magazine, an agreement between the couple safeguards the footballer's wealth while ensuring his model partner - and mother of two of his children - would be financially secure if they separated.

In the event of a breakup, 30-year-old Rodriguez would receive a lifelong pension exceeding £85,000 per month, it has been claimed. The publication alleges these terms were set following the birth of their first daughter, Alana Martina.

Georgina Rodriguez would also be set to become the owner of Ronaldo's La Finca mansion in Madrid if their relationship ever hits the rocks, it adds. The home, a whopping 950 square metres nestled within a lush 4,000 square metre estate in the posh Pozuelo district, was snapped up by Ronaldo back in 2010 for €5m (£4.2m), reports the Mirror.

While the couple are not officially married, there have been rumours that they may be more than just engaged, which would add an extra layer of complexity to things if they ever were to split.

Adding fuel to the marriage rumour fire, Ronaldo dropped a hint in a recent ad for a fitness brand. Speaking about his home workout regime, he casually referred to Georgina as his "wife" rather than his partner, sparking a frenzy about whether they've secretly tied the knot.

"When I'm not training at the club, I like to train with my wife at home," he said. "Because I can motivate her and she can motivate me too."
