SAINTS have confirmed forward Sekou Mara's departure to Strasbourg for a deal worth around £10million.
The permanent move brings to an end a two-year spell at St Mary’s in which the French forward made 64 appearances, scoring eight goals.
Mara now returns to his homeland to play under former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior. Strasbourg finished 13th in Ligue 1 last season.
The France youth international has signed a deal until 2029 at Strasbourg, who are owned by BlueCo, the same owners as Chelsea.
A statement via the Saints website adds: "The club would like to wish him well for the future, and thank Sékou for his efforts during his time at Southampton."
