Celtic transfer bulletin as Alvyn Sanches price tag revealed and Luke McCowan pursuit continues

The champions are said to be preparing an offer for the Swiss midfielder, who boss Rodgers sees as a similar player to Chelsea star Cole Palmer

Celtic are reportedly set to step up their attempts to land FC Lausanne midfielder Alvyn Sanches and have been told how much they will have to pay for the Swiss youngster.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is in the market for another midfield player, and could be forced to act quickly with talisman Matt O'Riley closing in on a big-money switch to Brighton down south. Switzerland U21 international Sanches has been linked with the club all summer, and according to Express Sport, the Premiership champions are poised to launch a bid for the left-footed midfielder, who Rodgers reportedly sees as his very own Cole Palmer.

Sanches, 21, has already racked up more than 100 senior appearances at senior level, and made his U21 debut for his country last year. The report adds that the French-born player is keen on a move to Glasgow and that he will be available for a fee of £3million - £1million less than their previous valuation.

Another midfield player who is said to be on Celtic's radar is Dundee skipper Luke McCowan. Premiership rivals Hibernian have already seen two bids knocked back for the 26-year-old, with the Dens Park club reportedly holding out for £1million for one of their most prized assests. The Parkhead giants are yet to make an offer for McCowan, but The Celtic Way claim that he is very much still a player they are interested in.

Celtic continue to be linked with several names in the middle of the park, with the latest being LAFC's Mateusz Bogusz. Reports from Poland claim that Celtic are "seriously interested" in the one-time Leeds United player and that negotiations with the MLS side are ongoing to try and get a deal done ahead of the August 30 deadline..

Star forward Kyogo has been touted for a shock switch to Premier League champions Manchester City, but boss Rodgers is likely to offload players on the fringes of the squad before the window slams shut. Centre back Gustav Lagerbielke is expected to be moved on after falling out of favour, while young goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi is on the verge of sealing a season-long loan deal to join Championship side Dunfermline. The ex England youth international has previously spent time out on loan with Cork City in Ireland and Admira Wacker in Austria.
