Rangers could face their last Hampden switch THIS WEEKEND as they refuse to confirm Dundee Premier Sports Cup venue

RANGERS have held off on confirming a venue for their Dundee Premier Sports Cup clash - amid hopes that their last Hampden switch will come THIS WEEKEND.
The Gers have finally got all their steel deliveries for their Ibrox stadium upgrade, and now they're pulling out all the stops to be able to host their 5.30pm kick off in the Premier Sports Cup in Govan.
It's their second successive 5.30pm kick off in the cup competition after their 2-0 win against St Johnstone on Saturday.
And the TV selections have just been announced for the last eight of the competition and it means the Ibrox men hosting Dundee on the evening of Saturday September 21.
Rangers will only say that 'the venue for this match will be decided in due course'.
That's because Ibrox chiefs are racing against time to see if they can be back at their home in Govan for the clash.
A Glasgow City Council spokesperson is quoted as saying: “We are in dialogue about the club playing back at Ibrox on September 21 and there will be more detailed discussions in the coming weeks.”
The Ibrox men came through a difficult looking tie on Saturday evening in Mount Floriday against St Johnstone.
The venue was only half full - although the club's players and staff showed their gratitude to the fans afterwards as they sang and danced with ultras group the Union Bears.
Celtic, by contrast, get their second successive 3pm Sunday kick off at Parkhead following the weekend victory over Hibs.
The weekend's action all begins with a FRIDAY night clash, as Motherwell play host to Dundee Utd, with a 7.45pm kick off.
That match is available on streaming only on the Premier Sports player, as is the other Saturday clash between Aberdeen and The Spartans which kicks off at the same time as Rangers v Dundee - 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, it's being claimed that Gers goal hero Cyriel Dessers shut down a move away from the club this summer.
The 29-year-old had been the subject of a lucrative approach from an MLS side but the Nigerian hitman has since ended negotiations after the Light Blues were close to agreeing a deal, it's being claimed.
Dessers has come in for heavy flak by sections of the Rangers support since joining the club 13 months ago - despite netting 22 times for the Light Blues last term.
But despite recent criticism, Dessers has continued his goal-scoring form this season, having already bagged three for Clement's side - including a stoppage time equaliser against Dynamo Kyiv in Poland earlier this month.
