Forgotten Rangers star who won Prem title after being brought to club by Walter Smith approached for major Scottish job

RAITH ROVERS want to make former Rangers striker David Healy their new manager.
The Starks Park board have approached Linfield for permission to speak to the 45-year-old about replacing the sacked Ian Murray.
Healy has won the Northern Irish league title five times during his nine years in charge at Windsor Park but is eager to test himself elsewhere.
And Raith are confident they will be able to land the four-times NIFL Manager of the Year.
Healy spent a season in Scottish football with Rangers in 2011, towards the end of a goal-laden career which took him from Manchester United to Leeds, Fulham, Sunderland and Preston.
He took over as Linfield boss in 2015 and has presided over a period of success in Belfast, lifting six cups to go with his league title wins.
Healy has been linked with jobs in Scottish football before and it now seems likely he will finally get his chance in the SPFL.
Championship side Raith have been searching for a new gaffer since Murray's shock sacking earlier this month.
The ex-Airdrie and St Mirren boss was axed despite leading them to the play-off final last season, where Ross County proved too strong.
More to follow.
