Broja move in peril

Armando Broja may have missed out on a move to Ipswich Town after a medical revealed potential worries.
The Sun states that an Achilles injury was highlighted, which means other options may come into play.
The paper writes: "Armando Broja’s loan move from Chelsea to Ipswich is on the brink of collapse after his medical revealed signs of an Achilles injury.
"The two clubs agreed a deal for the striker to spend the season at Ipswich earlier this week.
"But SunSport has learned that the player’s medical has thrown up complications.
"Ipswich have not walked away from the deal completely but are understood to now be looking at other options.
"Broja’s medical problems are a huge blow for Chelsea, who are seeking to offload at least 15 players before the transfer window shuts on Friday."

Napoli agree Chelsea deal

Napoli have come to an agreement with Chelsea to sign Romelu Lukaku after weeks of stand-off.
The Serie A side had ideally wanted a loan deal, but Chelsea were determined to get the Belgian striker off their books for good.
The Mirror explains: “Chelsea have finally agreed a deal with Napoli to sell Romelu Lukaku and ease Enzo Maresca’s worries as the end of the summer transfer window approaches.
“Lukaku has been training with the Chelsea under-21s while the two clubs haggled over his future. He has been desperate to be reunited with his former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte at Napoli, but progress in negotiations has been slow.
“Napoli had initially been insistent on signing Lukaku on loan with an option to make the move permanent. But Chelsea held out for a straight transfer and their patience has finally been rewarded, with a deal struck for Lukaku to head to Naples for £25 million (€30m) plus up to £13m (€15m) in add-ons.
“Lukaku will sign a three-year contract with Napoli after the club bowed to pressure from Conte to break their usual approach to transfers. Conte has publicly called on Napoli to make signings and the move for 31-year-old Lukaku goes against their normal policy of bringing in youngsters.”

Solomon set for Leeds loan

Tottenham’s Manor Solomon looks likely to join Leeds United on a loan deal before the end of the transfer window.
The 25-year-old also attracted interest from Getafe, but he wanted to remain in England.
The Daily Mail reports: “Tottenham winger Manor Solomon is in talks to join Leeds United on loan.
“The Israel international has been given clearance to leave Spurs after a difficult spell with injuries since joining last summer as a free agent.
“After featuring in five of the club's opening seven Premier League games under Ange Postecoglou, an injury in early October saw required surgery to the meniscus on his right knee and brought his campaign to a premature end.
“Getafe had made enquiries, but the 25-year-old has been insistent on remaining in England.
“Former Shakhtar Donetsk and Fulham flyer Solomon is due to undergo a medical this weekend.”

Real Sociedad close to Hummels deal

La Liga side Real Sociedad could land former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels on a free transfer.
The Athletic reports the Spanish side are in talks with the veteran German to replace Robin Le Normand.
The website writes: “Real Sociedad are in advanced talks to sign Mats Hummels as a free agent.
“Hummels, 35, will now decide whether to accept Real Sociedad’s offer, having left Borussia Dortmund following the end of his contract in June. The decision is not a financial one, with Hummels keen to find a good family solution with a child nearing school age.
“La Real have been in the market for a centre-back after Spain international Robin Le Normand joined Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.
“Hummels has spent his entire club career in Germany so far, winning five Bundesliga titles during two separate spells at Dortmund and Bayern Munich.”
