Odsonne Edouard lined up for stunning Celtic transfer as champions ‘interested’ in reunion with Crystal Palace striker

The Frenchman was signed by Brendan Rodgers during the Irishman's first spell at Parkhead and could be reunited

Celtic are reportedly "interested" in bringing back Odsonne Edouard from Crystal Palace before the end of the window.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to revamp the Scottish Premiership champions for the defence of their title and the Champions League group stage in the final days of the window - with confirmation of Matt O'Riley's move to the English Premier League with Brighton. A reunion between Rodgers and the the Frenchman could be on the cards with the 26-year-old set to be on the fringes at Selhurst Park this season - having already been used sparingly by Oliver Glasner since he took charge.

Edouard - who netted eight goals last term for Palace - started last weekend's defeat to West Ham but could be pushed down the pecking order with Arsenal are poised to accept an offer from the Eagles for Eddie Nketiah. Reports claim Palace have made an offer worth £25million along with a further £5m in add-ons.

The former Parkhead hero recently admitted that he still keeps tabs on results and still enjoys a return to Glasgow while attending the Player of the Year awards night. Speaking before the ceremony - which followed win against Rangers that all-but sealed the Premiership crown - Edouard said: "I'm always happy to come back and see the fans and players and let's enjoy the night."
