Celtic hero Matt O’Riley spotted leaving Brighton stadium ON CRUTCHES as manager gives update after horror tackle

BRIGHTON boss Fabian Hurzeler fears the worst for £25million man Matt O'Riley after he was struck down with an injury just EIGHT minutes into his debut.
The German manager gave an update on the former Celtic star after the 4-0 win over Crawley Town.
O'Riley, 23, was given the nod by the gaffer for the EFL Cup clash just 24 hours after his move to East Sussex was confirmed.
Fans were delighted to see him in action for the first time after the long-running transfer saga finally reached its end this week.
But their excitement didn't last long as they watched O'Riley being cruelly forced off early doors after a horror tackle from Crawley's Jay Williams.
Emotional O'Riley lay on the grass as he received treatment from club medics before being helped off the pitch while his new fans applauded him.
He was replaced by Mark O'Mahony after a short delay.
And fans were waiting to hear an update from Hurzeler on their new signing, with a big Premier League clash against Arsenal on the horizon.
However, he didn't given them the news they were hoping for as he admitted the initial signs "don't look good" for the Denmark star.
The midfielder will undergo a scan to discover the severity of the knock.
Speaking at full-time, he said: “I talked to [O’Riley] when he went off the pitch, he couldn't get any weight on his ankle, so let's see.
"We have to scan it. I think players know their body best so his reaction was not good.”
Footage outside the American Express Stadium at full-time showed O'Riley leaving the ground on crutches.
A video which has been widely shared on social media appeared to show the former Celtic star hobbling into his car just outside the stadium.
He could be seen struggling to get into his vehicle and was assisted by members of staff.
