Everton fan group The 1878s have confirmed their plans to pay tribute to Everton striker Kevin Campbell, who died this summer. The organisation have said that cards will be provided to fans on seats in the Park End to hold up prior to kick off in the Blues' fixture against Bournemouth.

The tribute will take place on August 31st as ‘Super Kev’s’ family will be in attendance as special guests. The Tifo will honour the Toffees' former number nine.

Alongside the card display, the 1878s have said that a minute of applause will also take place. Campbell made 145 appearances for Everton from 1999 to 2005, scoring 45 goals during his stint at Goodison Park.

The Toffees then made the deal permanent for a fee of £3 million and in the 1999/2000 season he scored the winning goal in the Merseyside derby, Everton’s last win at Anfield until 2021.
