Raheem Sterling could make a sensational deadline day move to Arsenal from Chelsea, while Mikel Arteta's side have also been linked with a deal for Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman. Newcastle are facing further frustration in their pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi with Eddie Howe fearing he could miss out on his top target, and Brentford's Ivan Toney could be "left in limbo".

Sterling could make Arsenal move
Raheem Sterling has reportedly been offered to Arsenal as the forward seeks a deadline day exit from Chelsea.
Sterling made the headlines on the opening weekend of the Premier League when his representatives released a statement seeking clarity on his future at The Blues after he was not selected in the squad to play Manchester City.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but now Arsenal have “emerged as a possible destination”, according to a report in the Mirror.
“Raheem Sterling has been offered to Arsenal, but there are three key stumbling blocks to him making a move,” explains the outlet.
“Mirror Football understands that Sterling has been offered to the Gunners, with Mikel Arteta looking to add a wide attacking player to his squad before Friday's deadline.”
It continues: “According to The Independent, there are three other roadblocks to Sterling moving across London.
“The winger is keen on a move, though Arsenal are insisting Chelsea will settle part of his contract and his wages. The Gunners are only willing to make a move for a back-up option to Bukayo Saka.
“The second is that the winger will have to drastically cut his wage demands. Currently, he earns £325,000 a week at Chelsea, but Arsenal are unwilling to offer anything more than £150,000 a week, meaning Sterling would have to slash his salary significantly to fit in their wage structure.
“The final block stems from the other two issues, which makes any deal contigent on Sterling settling his contract problems with the Blues. While Arteta is a fan of Sterling, Maresca certainly isn't, with the Chelsea boss making it clear that the Englishman will not play under him.”
Arsenal interested in Coman
The Mail believes Arsenal could make a move for Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman.
Mikel Arteta is said to be determined to sign an attacking player before the window closes on Friday and has identified Coman as a top target.
However, The Gunners may face competition from Al-Hilal and other Saudi Pro League clubs for the Frenchman’s signature.
“Arsenal have explored a swoop for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline,” reads the article.
“Mikel Arteta wants to sign a forward as he looks to add greater competition in wide attacking areas.
“Coman, 28, could leave Bayern this week and has major interest from Saudi Arabia, in particular Al-Hilal.
“But Coman’s situation has alerted the Gunners heading into the final hours of the window.
“The cost of bringing Coman to the Emirates will be key towards any successful move, particularly given the lucrative wages on offer in the Middle East.”
Tensions rising at Newcastle as Guehi move on ‘brink of collapse'
Newcastle’s move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi is on the “brink of collapse”, claims a report in the Mail.
Eddie Howe’s side have reportedly had a number of offers bids rejected for Guehi, and the possibility of not landing the manager’s "top target" is causing “tension” behind the scenes.
“Newcastle face missing out on Eddie Howe‘s top transfer target, Marc Guehi, with tensions rising behind the scenes at St James’ Park,” states the outlet.
“Howe told new sporting director Paul Mitchell that the Crystal Palace defender was the one he wanted this summer.
“However, after a drawn-out saga in which the price for Guehi has risen to close to £70million after a series of failed offers, the move is on the brink of collapse.
“Palace chairman Steve Parish now wants in excess of £70m and the situation is complicated by a knee injury to defender Chadi Riad.
“We understand that Howe has all but said it is Guehi or no-one at centre-back, and there is a likelihood that no defender will arrive if the move is not salvaged before Friday’s deadline.
“Sources have also indicated that Mitchell had misgivings about Guehi being the only option, and that he would have preferred more targets.”
Toney could be 'left in limbo'
Friday is going to prove a massive day in the career of Ivan Toney, who is being linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.
But there is the possibility that the England and Brentford striker could be "left in limbo" if the deal does not materialise.
"Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli are making Toney sweat because they have also been chasing Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen," writes the Mirror.
"Toney, 28, could then be left out in the cold with Brentford boss Thomas Frank insisting the England striker will not be picked for their game with Southampton on Saturday.
"Al-Ahli have held discussions with Brentford over a potential deal and have been willing to pay Toney in excess of £300,000-a-week. But no deal is imminent and there has not been a definite offer from any Premier League club despite Chelsea and Manchester United being linked with the Brentford striker.
"That leaves Toney running out of time to resolve his future because the Premier League transfer window shuts on Friday.
"The Saudi window is open until Monday but it leaves Toney pinning all his hopes on a move to the Middle East.
"It is also going to be a gamble for Brentford as Toney is into the final year of his contract and they will be anxious not to lose him on a free transfer next summer."
