Mikey Johnston reveals No1 West Brom aim after Celtic switch as he names 3 key factors to make dream a reality

The Hoops cashed in on the winger before the summer transfer window slammed shut

Mikey Johnston has revealed he kept tabs on West Brom this season before his transfer as he delivered his big aim for the season.

Brendan Rodgers cashed in on the winger before the summer transfer window slammed shut after falling down the pecking order and failing to establish himself in the squad. With the likes of Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn and James Forrest further up the selection line, the Republic of Ireland international moved on with a return to the Hawthorns, following a hugely successful loan period last season.

He took to social media to send an emotional farewell to Celtic with the likes of Stephen Welsh and former No1 Joe Hart sending their well wishes in the comments alongside hundreds of fans. But as he begins his new chapter, he has revealed he's been doing his homework behind the scenes and has targeted the English Premier League for next season. To make that dream a reality, he's named THREE key characteristics inside the West Brom dressing room.

Speaking via Birmingham Live, he explained: "I watched the QPR and Leeds games, I watch a lot of football and wanted to see how we were getting on to start the season. I've kept in contact with everyone and kept watching. I felt this was the right option, I felt we've got a lot of strength and a big chance to get to the Premier League, hopefully we can do that.

"I think we've got a strong core, leaders in the dressing room, match-winners and I think we've got a good chance. Because of the time between me coming in and my first game, I'm just so anxious to get going. It's been a great start but I'm only just in the door, nothing's given to you so I've got to go and get in the team.
